Overview
Pompeii and Herculaneum are two of Europe's most extraordinary archaeological sites, yet reaching them can be challenging. Traveling by high-speed train, we've removed the stress so that you can spend your time visiting incredible sites and making memories, not sitting on a cramped bus! Pompei was a large and diverse city with a healthy mix of wealthy elite, merchants, artisans, and slaves whose lives you'll get a crystal-clear glimpse of on a 2-hour walking tour. After some rest-and-recharge at an authentic pizzeria, a short transfer will take us to our second destination. Less than half the size of Pompeii, Herculaneum was a small coastal city characterized by remarkably preserved wooden structures and vibrant frescoes.
