Rather than just observing, you’ll actively create something meaningful — a fragrant incense pouch using real Japanese scents, guided by a local shopkeeper with deep knowledge of the craft. The setting is a long-standing souvenir shop in a historic area near Kiyomizu Temple, not a touristy workshop. Before the activity, we’ll take a short walk through peaceful streets and hidden shrines, where I’ll share stories and cultural background that give context to the incense and Kyoto itself.
