It is a traditional craft. ⚫︎Traditional Craftsman "Kiichi Matsuoka" A traditional craftsman is an engineer engaged in the manufacture of traditional crafts designated by the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, who meets certain conditions and maintains a high level of skill and technique. Kiichi Matsuoka (trade name “Kisen”) was certified as a traditional craftsman in the dyeing category of Kyo-kanoko-shibori.
