Overview
The lift climbs through the ironwork, the rooftops of Paris fall away, and at the summit the whole city opens out to the horizon. Unlike many tours, your guide doesn’t stop at the second floor but stays with you all the way to the top. Your group is limited to 10 guests, with timed tickets reserved in advance, so there’s no ticket-office queue. On the second floor, your guide tells the story of la Dame de fer, built for the 1889 World’s Fair with a permit for just 20 years, and points out the monuments below. Continue together to the summit, where Gustave Eiffel kept a private apartment at the very top of his tower. Good to know: everyone changes elevators on the second floor, so expect a short wait for the summit lift. If the summit is closed, we refund the price difference automatically.
