Overview
This route focuses entirely on Hakone instead of combining it with distant Fuji Five Lakes attractions, reducing unnecessary travel and allowing more time at each stop. The journey connects four contrasting landscapes: the cedar forest and lakeside setting of Hakone Shrine, the open waters of Lake Ashi, the volcanic terrain of Owakudani, and the seasonal highlands of Sengokuhara. The Lake Ashi cruise also forms part of the route. While guests cross the lake, the driver repositions the vehicle and meets them near the arrival pier, creating a smoother connection between the southern and northern shores. Private transportation reduces the need for multiple train and bus transfers. Smaller-group options include an English-speaking driver-guide, while larger groups may select vehicle-only service or an option with a separate English-speaking guide.
