Overview
Explore the sacred Kumano region and Wakayama's Pacific coast on a private 2-day road trip from Osaka. Avoid complicated train connections as you visit forested pilgrimage paths, grand shrines, Nachi Falls and coastal viewpoints at your own pace. Day 1: Osaka city hotel → Kumano Hayatama Taisha in Shingu → a short Daimonzaka section of the Kumano Kodo → Kumano Nachi Taisha, Seigantoji and Nachi Falls → your independently booked hotel in Kii-Katsuura. Day 2: Kii-Katsuura hotel → Kushimoto's Hashiguiiwa Rocks → Shirahama's beach and coastal viewpoints → Osaka city hotel. Vehicle service is up to 10 hours per day, with an overnight break. Guest accommodation, meals and admissions are extra.
