Overview

Late Afternoon for a Fresh and Calm Visit with the Sunset by the Colosseum With all my passion for Rome, we will walk and talk about the history of Ancient Rome, its evolution, the context of the monuments we see today, all explained by archaeology, history and art history. First a brief introduction of Rome's history, and the main features of its art and architecture. Why, when and how everything was built will be discussed and contextualized. Then we go to the monuments and see the Roman Forum, the Colosseum, the Palatine Hill, the 5 Imperial Forums, the Capitoline Hill Square, the Theater of Marcellus, Temple of Apollo and Porticus of Octavia. Understanding why all that was built is an incredible journey we will do together, in a personalized way to your interests, pace and time, with a great passion from my side to help visitors understand how Rome developed from a hut village to a magnificent city. The Experience does not include going inside the Colosseum or tickets for it.
