Overview
Montmartre from the top, Paris from above, and the city's oldest arcades to finish: three private hours that climb, come down, and open out. The funiculaire takes you up to the Sacré-Cœur, and from there you wander the Place du Tertre and its painters still at work. Then down through the village itself — the pink house on its cobbled corner, Dalida on her own small square, the old windmill of the Galette above the rooftops — to a wall that says only *je t'aime*, and the Moulin Rouge at the foot of the hill. Then, eight floors above the grands magasins, a terrace opens onto the whole city: the Tour Eiffel on one side, and on the other the Sacré-Cœur you stood under an hour ago, now a white dot on the skyline. A break to savor the view over a coffee and a macaron. You come down into the Opéra quarter, then end under the glass roofs of the passage Jouffroy and the passage des Panoramas. Private from start to finish.
