This immersive program takes place in a privately rented, authentic cypress-wood Noh theater in Shibuya. Begin by watching a graceful shimai dance, then learn the history, meaning, and aesthetics of Noh through explanations and close-up viewing of real masks and costumes. Practice basic postures and movements with professional performers, walk the sacred hashigakari bridgeway, and explore the usually inaccessible Kagami-no-Ma backstage room.
