Overview
Visit the mysterious Capuchin Crypt, choose between a guided tour or an audio guide through the Crypts, discovering the Capuchin Friars' vision of life after death and eternity, in this little-known but absolutely unmissable place. Walking through this unique place, you will have the opportunity to pass through a long and mysterious corridor of about 30 meters flanked by six rooms. The remains of 3,700 Capuchin friars were collected at this site, and the earth, according to legend, was transported from Palestine and probably from Jerusalem. In particular, the crypts are those of the Three Skeletons where three juvenile skeletons are kept, the Crypt of the Tibiae and Femurs where there are vaults decorated with bones and skulls, the Crypt of the Pelvis where there is a vault decorated with bands of vertebrae and long bones, and finally the Crypt of the Skulls.
