Starting in the historic Jewish Ghetto, this walking food tour takes you through the heart of Rome towards Campo de’ Fiori, stopping at three different local bakeries along the way. At each stop, you’ll taste a different style of Roman pizza, discover the stories behind these traditional bakeries, and see how the pizza is made. You’ll taste classics such as Pizza Rossa and Pizza con Patate, while learning how recipes and traditions change from one neighborhood to another. Along the way, you’ll also explore one of Italy’s greatest food debates: what makes Roman pizza different from Neapolitan pizza? You’ll discover the distinctive character of Roman-style pizza and why every bakery has its own interpretation.
