New On ViatorSaint Germain des Prés Walking Tour in Paris
Step into the Paris you have seen on screen. Explore the ancient church, legendary cafés, artistic landmarks, literary streets, and Revolution-era passageways of Saint-Germain-des-Prés with stories grounded in what guests can see along the route. There is a reason filmmakers, writers, artists, and dreamers return to Saint-Germain-des-Prés. Its café terraces, stone façades, intimate squares, galleries, and narrow streets have helped shape the world’s image of Paris. Starting outside the Église de Saint-Germain-des-Prés, your local guide connects the neighborhood’s long history to the writers, painters, philosophers, publishers, revolutionaries, and filmmakers who used these streets as a workplace, meeting place, subject, or stage.
