I was the founder and first musical directorof Cornell University's Taiko Drumming group, I have received the excellency award from the Tokyo University of Arts New Artists Competition, and my original music is now published by Harper Collins and Cambridge International Curriculum which sets a global standard for education and employment. Experience the wonderful Japanese taiko drums through a 90 minute workshop where I will be teaching the taiko drums in English. We will go through the foundation training, rhythm training, and learn a traditional and contemporary taiko drumming piece. I will also give a short performance and brief taiko drumming history explanation. Furthermore, you will receive a personalized video of you playing the taiko drums.
