Experience an intimate Asakusa evening where old Tokyo, a traditional Japanese dinner, and the powerful sound of live Tsugaru shamisen come together. After a guided walk around Senso-ji Temple, enjoy dinner at a local restaurant while award-winning musicians perform one of Japan’s most dynamic traditional instruments up close.
Tsugaru shamisen is known for its bold, resonant sound, dramatic style, speed, emotion, and improvisational spirit. This is not quiet background music, but a living tradition performed with remarkable energy and skill.
